So, I bought a doggy toothbrush and toothpaste from my local pet store and began my puppy’s DIY dental hygiene treatment on day one!

I’ll stress at this point that you must never use human toothpaste for your dog. Human cosmetics and drugs contain chemicals that are harmful or even toxic to dogs, and you could even poison your pup.

In addition, dog toothpaste is flavored with chicken, cheese, and other yummy tastes that dogs love, which is far more appealing to them than peppermint!

I found the easiest way to clean my puppy’s teeth is to squeeze a good blob of toothpaste onto the brush and simply let him chew on it! As I previously mentioned, chewing and biting are puppy habits that you can use to your advantage when cleaning your little guy’s teeth.

There’s no need to rinse once you’re done. The longer the toothpaste is on your dog’s teeth, the more chance it has to work.

Finally, I like to give my little Raffles a dental chew as a reward for good behavior once he’s cleaned his teeth.

Goldendoodles can be F1, F2, or variations thereof. So, what does that mean?

Basically, those letters and numbers are a way of showing you how the breeder bred their puppies. 

F1 Goldendoodles are produced by crossing a purebred Golden Retriever with a Poodle. Further crossbreeding is designed to increase the breed’s most desirable traits, including coat color, coat type, kid-friendliness, or low shedding.
